The quote above is simple and filled with common sense. Yet sometimes I need to be reminded of even the simplest of things. I’m was at the coffee shop a few days ago listening to this blind woman I just met named Lisa play the piano. Ever had a total stranger inspire you or just make your day a little brighter? She was playing “You Belong With Me” by Taylor Swift. That song always reminds me of my imoutos. Awww! Lately, a lot of little things have been very motivating from a hearing great news happen to a friend to the overwhelming people who offer their support to me. I consider myself to be a generally optimistic person and I have a lot of things in my life I am grateful for. But once in a blue moon I do fall victim to sadness or something manages to hang a dour cloud over my head. Don’t we all?

I like to think of myself as a semi-health conscious eater. I look at the labels and try stay away from the artificial crapola. However while I was chit chatting with a barista, there was a whole row of *Sno Balls right below me….I was soooo tempted! Good thing I had my friend there who just got out of the gym to set me straight! BUT the barista girl said, “It’s okay to indulge.” I felt like I was one of those cartoons with an angel and a devil on either side of her shoulder at that moment. I resisted! It’s okay to indulge once in a while.

Jo Jo is my inspiration and wrote a chart of what she ate for breakfast, lunch, and dinner over the course of a few days. Note: Mostly just bread! -_- I’ve also been meaning to do this for a while and having a blog gives me the opportunity to put things down in writing where I’m more likely to get it accomplished.

So far I’ve eaten..potato salad, slice of turkey breast, this turnover thing with rice and chicken inside, two Le Tao chocolate truffles from Hokkaido, and a box of Green Milk Tea. Nothing for breakfast as I woke up past 11 am.

*Sno Balls are creme-filled chocolate cakes with marshmallow wrapped around the cakes topped with pink coconut flakes.

~spoilers ahead~

This series is totally tugging at my heart! I see so many of my favorite anime characters captured in this one show! It’s really interesting to pick out the similarities! Maybe I’ll pick out the similarities in another post. I really like how all the friendships are forming in this show! I highly doubt I will be consistently blogging anime, but I had to do a post on this episode because although it may not be super motivating, it does capture that whole “working together as a team to achieve your goal” feel.

Most of this episode was about the 3 girls going on a mission, shaiza happens, they have to figure out how to carry on without a compass or food, they reach their goal, and they find out a bit more about the history of the maidens. It was a really “awww” episode and quite funny watching the girls STRUGGLE big time lifting themselves with the bagpacks off the ground! Hahaha! Even Rio’s grunting in an attempt to demonstrate carrying the bag cracked me up! Her voice really reminds me of Paku Romi’s deep voice..quite husky!

If only there were some magic posting program in our brains that automatically typed out our thoughts and projected the images onto whatever we want… I mean how cool would that be! Hmmm now that I think about it that sounds rather DANGEROUS! I don’t think I want my mind to automatically broadcast in front of anyone! Moving on..

I have a HUGE soft spot for sunrises and sunsets so I couldn’t resist taking a crappy screenshot of a beautiful sunset over the barren wasteland that was destroyed by the previous war. I also couldn’t resist taking another crappy screenshot of the maidens bathing in the hot spring. HEY! It’s not DODGY! It’s called BONDING! and relaxing-just what we all need at the end of a long hard day. Reeeellllaaaaxx……ommmmmmmm

If you have a goal you set out for yourself, I know you can achieve it! Focus, be diligent, and Ganbatte! If you don’t have a goal, set out and make one! NOW! *demanding Oneechan*
