My enthusiasm for The Real L Word couldn’t be over the moon when I first saw the trailer. Finally there is a show about lesbians, their backgrounds and how they lived their lives day to day being open about their sexuality. I learned about their first experience with another woman, what they feel being with a woman is like and why they’ve chosen to lead that type of lifestyle despite the challenges that take hold same-sex couples. Seeing beautiful successful women who can be happy together in marriage or family gives me hope.

I could relate to the women in The Real L Word Season 1 having gone through many of the same experiences myself. That was my draw. Season 1 touched on some of the most sensitive issues: coming out to family and having them accept you, marriage and children.

The Real L Word Season 2 feels like a mashup of a few more Whitneys and a couple more people to add to the issues many lesbians face: dating and having a child. The same desire I had when I first watched the show is waning.

I’ll admit that Whitney can be sweet, nice, cool and charming in her Jamaican up-do way. I can also see loving her to death if she were my friend but

Off the chain thanks to AfterEllen for providing us with the latest news surrounding Rizzoli & sles Season 2 premiering on July 11th-well July 12th in my time zone! At the end of Season 1 we were left with a killer cliffhanger in which Jane is held at gun point by a rouge cop (the bastage!). We all know Jane is somehow going to survive this intense situation but how will she survive is what has us at the edge of our seat!

{TV Shows} “Rizzoli & Isles” – Clip from Episode 6: They’re so good together!

By good together I mean it’s like they’ve known one another forever. It’s so nice to see that type of interaction between two women because it appears more real. Jane and Laura also remind me of interactions I have between some of my closest friends and family. Enjoy the snippet from a cute scene where Jane is asking Laura about some guy being interested in her. At the end Jane sweetly bats an eye. ;)

I cannot wait for Season 2 slated with 10 episodes for a scheduled release on July 11th!

{News} Lip Service Season 2 Gets the Merry Green Light!

YES, YES, and more YESSS’!!! Lip Service’s Facebook page just announced that the BBC3 will ride Season 2 of the ever popular sex-driven lesbian drama series!

Harry Lansdown, Acting Controller, BBC Three, says: “I’m delighted to announce there will be a second series of Lip Service; a deserved return for both the drama and its fantastically loyal following.”

More Cat and more Mrs. Hot Detective lady! Although I was hoping that Cat and Frankie would finally sleep together, the chemistry in bed wasn’t so hot. I was hoping for more “pasión”.  Now I think they should just stay friends and some new hottie should come into the series.

Anyways CHEERS TO A SEASON 2 of LIP SERVICE!!!
